The Volcan wines winery and the Wine Museum are located in Vothonas, on the road to Kamari beach. It is a family run business, which was established in 1870 by Gregory & Dimitris Koutsogiannopoulos bros.

Today, after four generations, it continues to operate by George Koutsogiannopoulos.

Modern stainless steel machines replaced the utensils and tools. The wine making takes place in a traditional styled and modern operational infrastructure building that also houses the impressive cave Wine Museum.

This unique cave Wine Museum is 8 meters under the ground level and is 300 meters long. It is has a labyrinth-like shape and presents the history of wine and the life of vine-growers in Santorini from 1660 to 1970. The visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of wine, through representations and automatic private guidance in nine languages.

From this year, we plan and organize tours to the winery and we invite all guests to participate in daily events such as:
